I’m in my late-thirties. I’ve had a love-hate relationship with writing for as long as I can remember. Somewhere in lost notebooks are poems and short stories from as far back as junior high. Those improved over time. I don’t think the need for improvement will ever end.
I’m a work in progress as much as the writing. I most often indulge in fanfic and short erotica but I also attempt to write longer original fiction occasionally. Nothing original published yet.
In 2018, I succeeded in adding more writing time to my life in general. It has still been kinda scattered and as the muse calls me but overall word count totals increased each month. I want to keep adding more writing to my day-to-day life. Not only do I want to write more, I want to think about what I’m writing and if those things will bring me closer to my goals.
Writing things I have going –
- My dogs’ blog – mostly informational and reviews but with a few personal stories
- Paid writing work (mostly website re-branding rewrites, ghost blog posts, and custom erotica)
- Half a dozen unfinished things originally intended to be novel
- Dozens of short-story ideas
In 2019, I’m joining the people using Round of Words in 80 Days as their motivation. I really want to find some focus and be able to start self-publishing by the end of the year.
Wish me luck!
